Education Research
Education research involves the deliberate, systematic, and reflective use of research methods to develop and implement teaching practices that advance the learning experiences and outcomes of students and teachers. The Teaching Academy invites you to consider our training programs and Teaching-as-Research Fellowship to support your educational research endeavors.
Teaching Observations
Teaching Observations help instructors improve their teaching skills and foster formative teaching development through classroom observations. Receiving feedback on teaching is an important component of professional development in that it identifies potential improvement and growth areas, while also increasing instructor’s confidence in areas in which they already excel.
This page provides a guide for conducting teaching observations and includes two forms to help support the teaching observation.
